During the Performing Lines workshop, each group studies the lines of one author intending to translate them into a series of performative actions that allow, through an experience of movement in space, to appropriate the “movement principle” of each one. The actions were designed ad hoc for the internal and external spaces of the former Monastery of Santa Chiara.
For “A joke about the meter (and forty) redefinition of a standard” the starting point was the work of Marcel Duchamp. The output is a parallelism between the perspective grid of the Renaissance, which recalls the past of Urbino and a new grid system designed with part of the body of the participants.
